No Coming, No Going

This body is not me,
I am not limited by this body.
I am life without boundaries.
I have never been born,
and I have never died

Thich Nhat Hanh

Hearing a crow with no mouth
Cry in the deep
Darkness of the night,
I feel a longing for
My father before he was born.

The last stroke of the brush, then silence. As if the thoughts, made ink, were waiting for an answer. Perhaps mine.

not yet crowlight
but my mind rattles
like a stone in the craw
she worries for me
my unborn mother
