My dream garden would include a large, fragrant strawberry tree, visible from the reading nook upstairs window of my dream house, where I sip smoky dark tea in autumn. With bell-shaped blossoms, bright fruit, and trunk cool and smooth after shedding papery wisps of bark during summer, it would be a haven for songbirds. Never mind that I live in a small apartment overlooking asphalt, utility lines, and the backs of other buildings.
