Kissing Pumpkins

first day of spring
a newborn is crying
to the sky

Andrea

a crocus in her hand
the young mother

Dietmar

on the market square
voices, colours, scents
mingling together

Valeria

the last incense stick
turns into ashes

Andrea

summer rain
on the meadow a pair
of blue shoes

Dietmar

a bâton de Jacob (*)
exchanged for a kiss

Valeria

once again
her sticky tongue
pushes mine

Andrea

on a harvest waggon
pumpkins and the sun

Dietmar

slightly swaying
in the evening breeze
pampass grass

Valeria

what are the dreams
of a deaf-mute child?

Andrea

our talk
about the past and the future
at a crossing

Dietmar

clouds of vapour rise
toward this snow white moon

Valeria

(*) Sort of éclair (French pastry)
