my mother got warts said you weren’t to touch them or you’d get warts too so I tried not to touch my mother’s hands but it was hard to avoid them my grandmother had warts too but I never touched her anyway you weren’t to touch frogs either somebody said because they have warts all over but I never saw a frog then I got warts I hated them worse than when they were my mother’s I bought stinky stuff to put on them that burned and peeled and hurt and took my skin with it until finally my warts went away pretty much on their own and mother’s did too I don’t know when and I don’t know about my grandmother then I got eye floaters and the only thing you can do about them is close your eyes and you can’t see them so much so you go from one thing to another if you know what I mean...

on a cave wall
the way my soul speaks
