The cicadas are back, the air shimmering with the whine and zing of their music while a cooler wind moves through leaves creating an intricate dance of this way and that. The lake, still green with fading lily pads, grows expansive and sublime decorating the shoreline like a bed of lace. The dragonflies flitting here and there rest mid-air as if contemplating change. They mimic the land and the air in the throes of this transformation from summer to autumn to . . .
