summer day...
grandmother squashes
another tomato worm

The old sofa in the parlor is soft as milkweed fuzz, you can put your feet anywhere and not get scolded and ditto for the stuffed chair by the pot bellied stove where you can read and even blow bubbles and nobody yells LOOK OUT WATCH YOUR FEET so it is wonderful sitting there but at the same time you have nothing to do but it's time for lunch and all of a sudden after eating soft bread and warm ladyfingers filled with raisins you burst with plans and adventures to dash off and do but first a nap in the big old sofa or the big old chair where you don't have to worry about where you place your grassy feet...
