Inside My Cave

My husband's sleep apnea drives me from our bedroom and into the spare. In this room, my paintings fill the walls, family photos are stored in boxes, and a toy box for the grandchildren sits at the end of the bed. My desk supports my computer, books, and files. The wastebasket filled with crumpled poems calls me by name. It's from my cave that I've written and sealed this haibun into an envelope.
