Sensing Arts

Sounds and colors are not so different, after all. For instance, people may associate the breeze in a gentle cold morning to oranges. On the other hand, the ebbing tide at sunset evidently shines in tones of magenta.

Sounds and colors, hues and tones. That is why Scriabin's pieces are so full of perfume. It is said that there was a young man in Cathay who could associate colors to actions. Strange as it may seem, he won gold in the 1873 Olympics.
